Adobe Shell

Description

This is an idea I came up with a while back, and I did submit it to Adobe on their website. Tell me what you think about it.

What if when programming your Creative Suite line, instead of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, etc. all having to start up as separate programs, the user could just start up a shell, and the sole purpose would be so Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, etc. could all run in the shell, thus making them no longer separate programs, but programs that could all be opened within the Adobe shell. If someone wanted to add Photoshop to their version of Creative Suite, they could just download it from your site, and all the registration information could be sent directly to them, through the main program shell. If any of this is confusing to you, then think about it like this: Every time you open any program, it uses its own processing thread, thereupon using more system memory. However, every time you may want to start up Photoshop, but you also want Illustrator to be running as well, and maybe you'll need Acrobat to put your finished design together in a .PDF file, all you would have to do is start the main shell program, then start up Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat, and have them all running under the main Adobe shell program, thus eliminating their need for each of them to have their own separate processing threads.

This would be a VERY important feature in so many ways. The main one being that I could foresee this "shell" taking up less system memory, and as such, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, etc. could potentially take up less memory as well, seeing as how they wouldn't be separate programs. I personally believe this could be done, and every program in your Creative Suite line would benefit, because the answer is not making Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, etc. any bigger in file size than it really has to be, but it is all about making these programs all work efficiently, and coding them all to work within the Adobe shell.

To give anyone that sees this and reads through the description a better idea, each program would be a "module" that would open under the Adobe Shell interface.
